An exciting senior-level opportunity exists for a competent HR Generalist to take up the following role with a national organisation in the health care field.
Minimum requirements:
• B Hon level (NQF 8) qualification in Industrial Psychology or Human Resources
• Minimum 5 years generalist experience in a labour intensive environment across several sites.
• 5 years senior management experience leading an HR team
Key Performance Areas:
• Development and implementation of HR strategy, policies and procedures.
• Provision of an effective talent management pipeline and recruitment, selection and on-boarding process.
• Development and implementation of a performance management system.
• Implementation of a training and development strategy and plan.
• Management of HR data and administration.
• Development and implementation of a remuneration strategy and process.
• Providing support and coaching to the management team to develop an appropriate culture.
• Management and maintenance of sound Employee Relations and compliance programme.
• Overseeing the Association’s occupational health and safety programme
• Management of HR department
Skills and competencies
• Strong passion for HR and ensuring effectiveness
• Knowledge of South African Labour Law
• Organizational development knowledge
• Leadership, planning, organisational, co-ordination, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate/inspire a team.
• Ability to think out of the box, take initiative and implement systems and solutions
• Excellent people skills, tact and discretion
• Ability to influence, advise, persuade and be outspoken when necessary
• Professionalism and integrity beyond reproach
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
• Training and facilitation skills
• Coaching and mentoring skills
• Excellent computer skills including knowledge of HR IT systems
• Able to travel nationally
