Industrial Relations
· Assist departmental heads in preparing disciplinary cases; draft notices and warnings and attend hearings;
· Organise polygraph examinations as required;
· Liaise with IR Manager on IR related matters;
· Attend CCMA cases and deal with union matters;
EE & Skills Development Coordination
· Manage the EE & consultative processes and chair EE committee meetings;
· Monitor and evaluate company compliances to EE Plan;
· Maintain all records related to EE Plans and processes;
· Prepare Employment Equity Plans & Reports and submit as required;
· Monitor progress against EE Plan and provide feedback to management;
· Assist with Skills Development planning and reporting.
HR Assistance
· Assist HR and other departmental heads with HR related matters;
· Assist HR team as and when required
General
· Adhere to health & safety requirements and ensure employees are compliant at all times
· Maintain good housekeeping and hygiene standards in accordance with policies
· Assist other departments in accordance with operational requirements
Recruitment
· Oversee recruitment and conduct high-level recruitment
Ensure that recruiting & selection record keeping complies with legislation.
· Minimum educational level of Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent.
· Tertiary qualifications in HR/IR
· Minimum of 5 years experience and proven track record in same or similar position.
· Familiar and up to date on all HR/IR legislation, with emphasis on current developments in BCEA, LRA, EEA and Skills Development.
· Proven competence on handling all aspects of EE, i.e. consultation with employees, statistics and reports, minutes and processes.
· Proven track record on all IR aspects such as disciplinary procedures, CCMA representation and liaison with all relevant parties.
· Above average proficiency in business English.
· Good computer literacy skills and proficient on MS Office software.
Valid driver’s licence
