HR Manager: International Business Unit

Two exciting opportunities for HR Manager have just become available within the client’s International Business Unit (IBU).

You will be a professional and influential team player, who can add significant value to the HR function of the business unit. These positions, reporting directly to the Head of HR for International, are exciting and challenging opportunities that will require the successful candidates to contribute significantly to enabling the IBU’s people objectives & growth plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

? Recruitment
o Partnering with Hiring Managers and Recruitment to ensure quality placements (bulk & leadership positions)
o Taking briefs, drafting job specs, designing/selecting screening tools, simulation assessments and interview guides to enable effective screening, short-listing and selection
o Providing feedback and coaching to ensure that all hiring managers have the skills and competencies to recruit, select and on-board new starters effectively

? Employee Induction & On-boarding
o Induction and On-boarding of all new hires
o Ensuring that all new employee queries are managed and resolved in a proactive and timely manner to ensure a climate of high performance and positive morale and reduce early attrition

? Employee Engagement
o Ensuring that all employee queries are managed and resolved in a proactive and timely manner to ensure a climate of high performance and positive morale
o Partnering with Operations to:
? Implement & maintain the Company’s 5 People Promises
? Enable and drive reward and recognition
? Implement ESAT surveys, communicate results, draft, implement and track action plans

? Talent Management
o Partnering with Operations to ensure that:
- Job profiles and KPIs are in place, easily accessible and maintained/updated for all positions (up to and including Role Band BI)
- Performance appraisals are implemented, tracked and calibrated effectively as per the quarterly cycles
- Personal Development Plans are in place for each team member
- Probation is effectively managed with all new starters
o Providing feedback and coaching to ensure that all managers have the skills and competencies to manage and lead their people effectively

? Retention Management
o Partnering with Operations to:
- Reduce attrition by actively reaching out to employees and engaging through various touch points (regular skip meetings, one-on-one meetings, team meetings etc.) to ensure quick resolution of issues
- Identifying and addressing barriers to retention
o Conducing exit interviews and post-exit follow-ups and reporting on trends

? IR, ER and Discipline Management
o Partnering with Operations to effectively:
- Facilitate the resolution of conflict
- Manage and resolve misconduct, poor performance, incapacity and incompatibility cases
- Manage and reduce absenteeism
o CCMA case management and representing the company at the CCMA

o Chairing Disciplinary Enquiries
o Facilitating effective S189A redeployment of employees (when applicable)

? Partnership Management
o Developing and maintaining effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders (Operations, HR Shared Services, Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment, Learning & Development etc.)

? HR Administration, Analytics & Reporting:
o Compiling, maintaining and analysing HR analytics in order to optimize decision-making
o Facilitating efficient, timeous and accurate HR & IR administration & documentation
o Compiling reports & decks for internal MBR / QBRs & external Business Reviews with clients

? HR Operational Plans & Projects
o Providing input to the overall People Plan for the IBU
o Implementing operational action plans to meet business needs for multiple international campaigns
o Implementing various HR project plans and initiatives to achieve agreed objectives

QUALIFICATIONS AND LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• A relevant qualification in Human Resource Management / Industrial Psychology.
• Proven experience in a Snr. HR Generalist / HR Manager role (preference will be given to candidates with HR experience in contact centres within the BPO industry.
• Experience in and a sound understanding of best practices in the following categories:

o Employee Relations & IR
o Performance Management
o Leadership Coaching
o HR Analytics & Reporting
o Job Analysis
o Recruitment & selection for bulk, as well as leadership positions (including exposure to competency-based selection tools)
o Induction & On-boarding
o Talent Management
o Employee Engagement

• A solid working knowledge of the latest Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
• A sound working knowledge of all SA labour legislation
• Sound business acumen
