JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: To co-ordinate and identify the training and development needs in the group.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
• Management of the delivery of training and development programmes.
• Ensuring that quality training happens on site
• Ensuring that all assessment and moderators procedures are being adhere to
• Ensure compliance with training legislation training processes.
• Moderate 10 % of all assessments conducted
• Attend 5% practical assessments conducted by assessors to verify assessment process.
• Ensure the smooth running of the training administration
• Updating of all training activities on SAP
• Ensure that all trainees are prepared for assessments.
• Supervision of the performance of trainers.
• Ensure appropriate reporting of WSP/ATR reports are submitted
• Ensure that statutory training requirements are met.
• Responsible for the maintenance of effective internal and external customer and client relations.
• Responsible for helping line managers and trainers to solve specific training problems, either on a one–to-one basis or in groups.
• Revision of training programs as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment.
• Responsible for ensuring material is developed and accredited in line with the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).
• Implementation and management of an administrative system in line with MQA requirements.
• Ensure that the Skills Development scorecard on BBBEE is adhered to and met
• Coordination of Learnerships and Apprentices

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• BCom HR Management
• National Diploma HR Management

EXPERIENCE:
• At least five years related work experience in the HR environment (other jobs that prepared the incumbent for this job).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels within the organisation
• Keeps abreast and up-to-date with HR trends and industry wide development
• Sound knowledge of the Skills Development Process, Seta’s, Apprenticeships and Learnerships
