A relevant Degree/Diploma with an additional Labour Relations qualification and at least 5 years in a Generalist HR management role, from manufacturing (preferably automotive). We are looking for a very strong candidate who has proven Unionised environment experience. Core duties include: conduct consultation with local Union relating to issues, whilst ensuring the resolution is in line with Company policy and legislation, you will be a member of the Provident fund committee, You must be able to plan, organise and direct HR Programs and activities in a manner that promotes an atmosphere on communication and involvement, manage the cost, quality and delivery of the HR department, develop and maintain company policies and procedures to ensure IR compliance, assure equitable salary and wag administration, ensure company skills program and equity plan are implemented, champion the performance management system and improve the competitive position and performance of the plant through people, team work and continuous improvement. As a person you need to be a self-starter, pro-active, independent individual who can take initiative. You need excellent communication skills, be able to positively influence, persuade, build trust and effectively manage conflict. Excellent MS Office skills required.
