Position: HR Manager (R35 000 pm- Cape Town)
Function / Title: HR Manager
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Salary: Up to R35 000 pm

Job Purpose:
Our Client, a fast-growing company in Cape Town, currently seeks a HR Manager to provide overall support services to their company. This highly influential position will be responsible for all human resource activities for the company and also to provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures and documentation.

Key skill requirements:
• Min 3 years’ management experience within HR
• HR Degree (preferable)
• Hospitality experience (preferable)
• Should have solid IR experience, including performance management, employee relations and CCMA representation (where required)
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good understanding of South African labour laws and practices.
• Work well under pressure.
• Must be hands-on and proactive in implementing transformational change.
• Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities:
• Define and execute on strategic and operational strategy
• Drive local initiatives
• Provide advisory and assistance to CEO and Managers in all HR related affairs
• Ensure all policies are in place and adhered to
• Standardise processes, practices and policies
• HR reporting
• Staff planning and budgeting
• Oversee Recruitment and Selection, as well as Learning and Development initiatives
• Oversee employee salaries and administer employee benefits
• Keep staff updated on statutory changes
• Roll out performance reviews
• Conduct staff orientation and training
• Deal with conflict situations and work closely with Managers regarding disciplinary issues
• Administrate the time management system and leave
• HR related Project Management

Additional responsibilities:
• Be approachable and supportive.
• Ensure open communication and information policy with all staff
• Perform specific research/investigation into operational issues, as requested
• Support the decision making process of management by giving input
• Keep all information obtained from management confidential if not explicitly told otherwise
