A manufacturing concern in Pietermaritzburg, KZN producing high-end quality men’s footwear is looking to appoint a Human Resource Manager with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

The successful candidate should have a HR degree or diploma and will have sound knowledge of labour legislation (BCOE and LRA).

Responsibilities will include:

1. Active contribution to Exco on HR related matters.
2. Pro-active management of HR related matters (Performance management documentation control / reporting on Scoring / development plans administration / keep detail accounts of training and development records / applying policies etc.).
3. Benefits and Compensation Administration (payroll, provident fund / Medical Aid recons, Garnishee’s etc).
4. Statutory administrative compliance management and control – WCA / OHS UIF, etc.
5. HR and IR Administration and documentation control / (Employee life cycle management / managing employment and termination procedures / strict recording of disciplinary and grievance.
6. Recruitment and Selection /Induction programmes / Exit interviews.
7. Oversee and validate monthly and weekly salary payments.
8. Employee file and data management.

Requirements:
1. Demonstrate working knowledge of HR & payroll systems.
2. Proficient in MS Office / excellent excel skills.
3. Willingness to travel.
4. Valid driver’s license /clean credit record.
5. Integrity and Ethics.
