A renowned national Wealth and Investment company is looking for an experienced “Human Resource Manager” to join their team on a full-time permanent basis for their offices in Durbanville, Cape Town.

Requirements:

• Human Resources / Industrial Psychology or relevant qualification
• At least 2 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position
• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
• Valid driver’s license

Key Performance Areas:

Recruitment / Talent Acquisition:

• Skills & psychometric assessment, job analysis - facilitate vacancy request process and conduct Job Analysis as required, together with the recruiter
• Conduct job analysis from scratch or refresh the existing job description prior to advertising the vacancy, as per requirement, work hand in hand with the recruiter
• Source and attract talent working together with the recruiter
• Ensure sourced candidates based on the department vacancy and succession requirements
• Manage and organise interviews with management in a timely manner and ensure best practice is adhered to
• Conduct competency based interview with candidates together with managers in an effective and efficient manner
• Check agency invoices and calculations, get approval from CEO before submitting for payment

Employee take-on process:

• Gather salary information to compile offer to a candidate
• Discuss and negotiate the approved offer with the candidate
• Request checks from the recruiter; work references, character references, criminal, credit, retail and internal checks
• Proposed offer of employment to be submitted for approval to CEO in person
• Issue contracts to staff and advise on any queries
• Ensure that contract packs are completed per potential applicant and on file

Advisory and Support Function:

• Manage ad hoc HR/IR queries and related matter effectively on a daily basis or as required
• Assist with the departments organisational structure
• Follow up on recruitment practices on an on-going basis
• Ensure that a fair labour practices is followed during the recruitment and selection process and educate management in this regards
• Assist with disciplinary enquiries
• Conduct exit interview with employees leaving the company
• Update progress report on a weekly basis

Performance appraisals, skills and psychometric assessment:

• Develop skills assessments based on specific job related competencies, as part of a competency based recruitment process
• Validate skills assessments against specific job-related competencies
• Support skills assessments with clear instructions and answer templates
• Administration and co-ordination of performance assessments
• Provide feedback to candidates and discuss possible development areas/ career counselling, when requested
• Maintain confidentiality, objectivity, and ethical standards at all times
• Ensure fair assessment for all candidates
• Adhere top legal and ethical requirements at all times
• Conduct and provide feedback on psychometric assessments

General:

• Implement and maintain policies and procedures, including staff code of conduct, staff incentives, employment contracts and recruitment contracts
• Attend to UIF form as requested, health and safety (WCA claims and submissions), and returns required such as employment equity
• Staff training - establish and implementation of a structure and ensure training is done during probation and kept on file
• Staff wellness
• Compliance, record keeping. Assist with controlling bodies and compliance such as Estate Agency Affairs Board (EAAB)requirements
• All general administrative duties pertaining to HR administration and management, submit documentation for payroll processing, leave control, disciplinary process and record keeping
• Ad Hoc Projects
• Computer Literate
