Role Requirements
• Working closely with departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures; provides advice and assistance to line managers and employees.

Role Responsibilities
• This may include information on training needs and opportunities, job descriptions, performance reviews, policies, medical aid, pension fund of .
• The position also coordinates the recruitment process
• Provides advice and support to business unit leaders, team leaders, interview panels etc and ensures that they have accurate and timely information in order to make effective decisions.
• Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation;
• Liaising with managers etc on a wide range of issues such as employment equity, skills development, recruitment and selection, performance management, health and safety etc;
• Recruiting employees - this includes developing job specifications, preparing advertisements, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates; developing policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management;
• Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits;
• Administering employee performance review process;
• Administering payroll on an ad hoc basis and maintaining records relating to employees;
• Interpreting and advising on employment legislation;
• Listening to grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures;
• Developing HR planning strategies with line managers, which consider immediate and long-term employees requirements in terms of numbers and skill levels;
• Planning and sometimes delivering training, including inductions for new employees;
• Analysing training needs in conjunction with departmental managers.

Education & Qualification
• Bachelors Degree with majors in Human Resources and/or Psychology

Relevant Experience
• 3 to 5 years of qualitative HR administration experience and good knowledge of the HR function and demonstrate a degree of proficiency in the South African Labour Law
• IT industry and skills development experience an added advantage
