? Assisting and giving advice to line management on matters of discipline and grievances. This includes helping them with the drafting of disciplinary charges, making sure that venues for hearings are booked, witnesses lined up, interpreters where required are arranged and management is properly briefed on the presentation of the case.
? Able to represent the business at the CCMA should cases be referred there.
? Talent sourcing. This relates to understanding the current organisational structures, the skills required by people in the business, the calibre of candidates required now and in the future, placing job adverts on the prescribed media, preparation of questionnaires, short listing candidates, constituting the panel, interviewing, regretting, conducting references, ensuring that preferred candidates earn within or expect within the budgeted pay, etc
? Workforce mobilisation. Responsible for communicating organisational changes, people movements, assisting with employee engagement surveys, part of the team driving Mission Directed Work Teams (MDWT). These are focussed teams in production who have targets to meet in line with food safety quality standards, production targets, morale, speed and SHE.
? Attending to employee issues/matters as they come into HR on a daily basis.
? Updating organisational structures and people listings as and when changes happen.
? Managing the SLA between the business and labour supply service providers
? Conducting training sessions on changes in HR policies, legislation or the Group
? Monthly report writing
? Completing statutory reports
? Updating business matrices on skills
? Ensuring that documentation is done in full compliance with the FSSC 22000 requirements

The required person or successful incumbent will ideally be or have:

? A graduate with a National Diploma in HR/B. Tech, Degree in Business Management/Social Sciences, Human Resources
? 5 years experience in a (food) manufacturing environment in a generalist position
? Understands food safety standards
? Good communication skills
? Report writing skills
? Conversant with Microsoft Office
? Attention to detail
? Administrative skills
