Temp: Human Resources Specialist

We are looking for an HR Specialist to join our team and monitor all Human Resources functions.

HR Specialist responsibilities include preparing compensation and benefits packages, setting up company policies and maintaining updated employee records. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of full cycle recruiting and solid knowledge of labor legislation.

Ultimately, you will foster a healthy workplace by ensuring our HR procedures run smoothly at all times.

Location: Midrand | Contract Type: Temp | Remuneration: R150.00 p/h

Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
• To implement, educate stakeholders on mandatory Grant policy and contribute to achieving WSP (Workplace Skills Planning) targets for the client.
• To conduct workshops for employers and SDFs relating to completing the reporting templates and attend to queries on reporting requirements for WSP’s.
• To receive, review and issue approval letters for the submitted WSPs / ATRs (Annual Training Report)
• To represent the department/client at events, meetings, employer visits, and other stakeholders (government, service provider, professional body, institutions of higher learning and related) forums.
• To process project payments, liaise with stakeholders on payment related queries and keep track of expenditure per project.
• Run payroll, update monthly inputs, check data integrity of pay slips for correctness and approval and general Ledger Interface files.
• Preparation of payroll reports that are free of error to the HR Manager for review and approval.
• Handle payroll and benefits queries, resolve problems/discrepancies and to provide feedback accordingly.
• Administer and facilitate the completion of documentation for the onboarding as well as exiting of staff members.
• Coordination of the values Assessment Study to ensure timeous completion thereof.
• Support the HR Manager in the advocacy of the investors in people standards and adoption thereof to maintain the accreditation level.

Inherent Requirements
• Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist
• Hands-on experiences with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), like BambooHR and PeopleSoft
• Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
• Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process
• Familiarity with full cycle recruiting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem-solving abilities
• Team management skills
• Degree in Human Resources or relevant field
