My client, a leading Chrome Mining company, is looking for an experienced and qualified Human Resources Superintendent HRD for their WCM facility in Mooinooi in the North West province. Looking for a person with a Mining background!!!

Purpose of the Job:

The HR Superintendent HRD is responsible to manage the HRD Department by optimising HRD processes, HRD systems and procedures, legislative compliance and project management.

The incumbent is responsible for the delivery of an efficient and effective consultancy service to employees and role players by providing expert advice on Human Resources Development issues.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Degree or Technikon Diploma in Human Resources Development or equivalent qualifications
8 years relevant experience in Mining Technical Training of which 2 years should be in a managerial role
An understanding of the South African Legal Framework and Labour Legislation that impact on Human Resources Development
Blasting certificate or Engineering Trade certificate
Mine Overseer Certificate will be advantageous
MQA knowledge

Job Responsibilities:

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

Ensure the Mine Health and Safety Act, 1996 (Act no. 29 of 1996) safety and health standards are maintained.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT /CUSTOMERS

Management of the HRD Department and maintain/improve relationships with all internal and external customers

BUSINESS PROCESSES

Manage and coordinate all function relating to:

Technical competency training of mine employees and contractors
Management of the HRD team
Education, Training and Development
HRD strategy, plans and schedules
Convene, administer and provide HRD input for Career Development, recruitment, Performance Management, Talent Management, Employee Retention and Succession Planning
Compliance to the relevant HR Legislation that impact on training
Coordinate Development Programmes
Compile monthly, quarterly and annual HRD Reports
New HRD Systems and Processes and make recommendations
Ensure the preservation of departmental records and statistics
Departmental Budget and Training Costs
