JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to provide technical and operational support and services to enable the implementation of the People strategy through ensuring effective HR systems for the provision of accurate and appropriate management information, and to lead the daily transactional service delivery, ensuring that complex inter-dependencies are maintained

Ensures appropriate staffing and action accordingly
Identifies need for creation of position and forward recommendation to direct manager and HR
Ensures appointments are in line with EE targets / strategy
Selects and places candidates in terms of agreed recruitment and selection process

Develops and empowers people, recognizing and rewarding value-added performance
Training and Development
Continually strives to up-skill and motivate staff through effective leadership, mentoring, coaching, performance improvement and the creation and implementation of individual development plans
Monitors implementation of training needs as per individual development plans
Guides in Career Pathing and ensures Succession Planning
Identifies, manages and develops talent
Assumes responsibility for identifying key roles and potential successors for the roles
Ensures successors are placed within an acceptable time frame.
Performance Management
Sets direct reports quantitative and qualitative performance objectives and ensure individual performance objectives are in place and reviewed to meet organisational and individual needs
Ensures performance reviews take place with direct reports, identifies poor performance and takes corrective action

SYSTEM AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT :
Ensures data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities
Works closely with a variety of internal clients and partners within all functional areas of the business in order to ensure cross-functional technical systems are fully integrated and maintained
Supports and co-ordinates the implementation of all HRIS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned
Monitors, tracks and updates 1st line troubleshooting queries on all HR & payroll related systems
Resolves complex system queries / escalation or incidents through collaboration with vendors to resolve problems that cannot be fixed internally.
Ensures all calls logged by clients are resolved within the required experience level agreement (XPS) timeframes
Collaborates with functional and technical staff to implement the application of a system upgrade or fix
Recommends solutions or alternative methods to meet system and client requirements. Performs routine and scheduled HRIS activities as required by third parties and other stakeholders, including payroll and IT
Oversees the integration of the HR and Payroll systems by merging data from other sources and ensuring additional fields are populated as system requirements evolve
Manages system resources including capacity, availability, security and recovery in conjunction with Company IT.

MANAGEMENT INFORMATION :
Writes, maintains and management information reports or queries, utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
Consults with stakeholders to ensure appropriate information is being disseminated.
Develops standard reports and maintains data integrity in systems
Continually analyses data and data integration to ensure accurate and timely information.

FACILIATE USER KNOWLEDGE :
Develops user procedures, guidelines and documentation and trains new system users and existing clients on these processes and the HRIS functionality.
Maintains technical system knowledge
Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support.
Uses technical knowledge to apply key technologies and continuously strive to increase their HR process knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge.

PROJECTS :
Participates in project development for new initiatives
Delivers new project outcomes to the Business

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE :
Experience with large HR systems, ie: ITSM, Workday. SAP HR, VIP
5-8 years specific experience within a related environment (Payroll / HR and IT)
