Job Summary
The successful incumbent will be responsible to co-ordinate, analyze and disseminate information for appropriate decision making for Group HSE processes.

Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12
• A completed qualification in any of the following: Chamber of Mine Certificate in Mine Environmental Control, Degree/National Diploma in Environmental Management, National Diploma in Safety Management
• Proven computer literacy in MS Office Suite – Intermediate Word and Excel are essential
• Five years’ experience in data analysis within a HSE environment
• Experience in a mining environment (HSE) will be an advantage
• Knowledge of ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 standards - an advantage
• Familiar with Isometrix system – an advantage
• Valid drivers’ license (EB/08)

Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Attend and participate in HSE related forums on behalf of the Group
• Ensure Group HSE data integrity
• Identify, analyze and address HSE trends, process and system improvements to acquire meaningful data and information
• Compile Group HSE reports as and when required
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards and ensure adherence to Safety, Security, SHE and Company policies, procedures and legal requirements
• Ensure ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 requirements regarding document management are adhered to
• Assist with internal and external audits, if required, and address audit findings where applicable

Skills and Competencies:
• Ability to communicate effectively (written & verbal) in English
• Familiar with HSE legal requirements
• Report writing skills
• Strong organizational skills (planning, coordinating and prioritizing)
• Sense of accuracy and attention to detail
• Customer relations - ability to deal at all levels in the organization and with external customers
• Motivated self-starter with high energy levels, action oriented and ability to follow through to completion
