REQUIREMENTS :
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years’ experience in employee specific master data analysis, understanding and practical application of the POPI Act and all relevant legislation around data management
5 years’ experience within a similar role (from administration through design, control and architecture) and ideally have systems experience, on an ERP system such as SAP / SAP Success Factors

DUTIES :
Overall accountable for the Group’s employee master data across all operating companies, countries and employee groups.
Provide expert advice and contribute to the thought leadership for better Employee Master Data Governance and Master Data Management and compilation of an aligned master data strategy.
Design and implement a Group level EMD strategy to meet business, legislative and Human Capital requirements, utilising industry standards.
Define the necessary policies, operating procedures and controls that govern the management of employee data across the Group.
Implement processes to review all processed HC data and perform master data checks to ensure accurate data is reported on.
Safeguard regulatory compliance in terms of the management of personal information, with specific focus on legislation in SA (e.g. POPI) and countries outside of SA, e.g. identify risks / ensure alignment to the local protection of information acts.
Provide data expertise in support of business and information technology initiatives to improve data integrity.
Align employee master data and its relationship with all other lines of business and domains within the organisation.
Provide subject matter expertise (SME) on employee master data systems interface requirements between source system platforms and target systems data requirements, SOPs and governance/maintenance processes.
Implement a data cleaning methodology to identify old, unused or duplicate employee master data in the current HC systems for better management and quicker access and manage the interventions associated with the clean-up – ensuring all legal requirements remain intact.
Implement controls to verify integration between various HC components/systems/platforms.
Drive the application and implementation procedures of data standards and guidelines on data ownership and data replication to ensure access to and integrity of employee master data sets.
Consider options, consult and implement alignment/integration of employee master data with Active Directory for the Group through collaboration with Group IT.
Manage, analyse and resolve employee data initiative issues and manages revisions needed while adhering to master data standards and processes.
Provide input to and/or generate human capital reporting and analytics as required by business once data has been bedded down, depending on capacity and business requirements at the time.
Responsible for supporting the master data stream with all its associated activities during the HCMS programme, in collaboration with external and internal parties, from strategy and migration through to reconciliation and sustainability
