Human Resource Manager EE position – East Rand Johannesburg Gauteng

Our Client in the Logistics Transportation Industry is looking for an HR Manager to provide an effective and efficient HR generalist function with a strong focus on IR, aligned with departmental and company strategic goals. This is an EE Position

Salary Negotiable plus Benefits

Must have -NON-NEGOTIABLE
• Must have experience within the Logistics Industry
• Must have experience with the Road Freight Bargaining Council and its Main Agreement
• Must have experience have extensive IR experience

Qualifications required
• A Bachelor’s Degree and/or Professional HR Qualification

Key performance areas:
• Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating human resources activities and staff of the Warehouse Logistics business unit
• Manages the HR Operations cycle, such as recruitment and staffing, training and development, compensation, and HR Business Solutions, performance management, benefits and compensation, succession planning and wellbeing programmes
• Serves as a mediator between employer and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems
• Represent organisation at CCMA, Bargaining Council and at union meetings
• Analyse and make recommendations on HR related policies to ensure compliance with labour law requirements
• Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labour relations, and employee relations
• Drives employee recognition and rewards processes and is accountable for the successful implementation of HR projects pertaining to company intakes across all assigned client groups
• This includes being knowledgeable of business unit budgets processes and demonstrated ability to handle complex HR matters
• Conduct statutory reports and journals and facilitates payroll administration for the relevant business unit
• Monitors and control the EE legislative requirements, by monitoring and controlling staff compliment (permanent vs. contract)
• Talent management & skills analysis, ensuring job descriptions are updated accordingly
Skills and experience required
• 5 – 10 years relevant work experience in a HR Generalist role.
• Sound IR knowledge with proven track record of representation at CCMA and Bargaining Council
• Understand and apply Labour Relations Procedures
• People management and development skills
• Talent Management Experience
• Sound leadership skills with ability to interact and influence at all levels
