Our client a national brand marketing company seeks to appoint a HR Officer who will take full responsibility for all human resources aspects within the organisation. The successful incumbent will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role and must have had policy implementation and roll-out experience.

Requirements:
• HR Degree or Diploma.
• Minimum 3 years experience within a similar role.
• Must have experience in the implementation of performance management processes, recruitment policies, HR policies and IR action plans.
• Must be willing to travel to Gauteng branch on a monthly basis.
• Effective verbal and listening communications skills
• Strong team building skills
• Effective written communications skills including the ability to prepare reports, proposals, policies and procedures

• Interviewing skills
• Time management skills

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a human resources plan and personnel management policies
• and procedures
• Promote workplace safety.
• Provide advice and assistance to staff and management on pay and benefits systems
• Arrange for the repairs of computers and other office equipment and assist with organizing staff to carry out work due periods of equipment shutdowns.
• Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff.
o Prepare, develop and implement procedures and policies on staff recruitment
o Ensure that accurate job descriptions are in place
o Provide advice and assistance with writing job descriptions
o Provide advice and assistance to supervisors on staff recruitment
o Prepare notices and advertisements for vacant staff positions.
o Schedule and organize interviews
o Participate in applicant interviews
o Conduct reference checks on possible candidates
o Conduct exit interviews.
o Provide staff orientations

• Provide advice and assistance when conducting staff performance evaluations
• Identify training and development opportunities
• Organize staff training sessions, workshops and activities
• Process employee requests for outside training while complying with polices an procedures
• Monitor staff attendance and investigate and understand causes for staff absences.
• Provide basic counselling to staff who have performance related obstacles
