Permanent, full time position
Location: Centurion, Gauteng
Salary: Negotiable – depending on experience

A tertiary qualification in Human Resources and extensive knowledge of and experience within an HR environment.
A relevant post-graduate qualification(s)
Minimum of 5 years in a senior management role (preferably in a legal or professional services environment).
Strong interpersonal, coaching, communication, negotiation and consultative skills on all levels.
Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and environmental policies and procedures, including development and training of staff in these areas.
Preference will be given to EE applicants.

Develop an HR strategy (on issues such as reward, employee relations, equality and diversity, appraisals, recruitment, learning and development as well as policies and procedures) and provide strategic leadership for the HR function at the Firm.
Planning, managing and overseeing the work and function of the HR department, including SDF, Payroll Administrator and HR Assistants.
Deliver performance management programs that drive a high performance culture.
Direct and manage the recruitment and selection strategy and process.
Co-ordinate appraisals and salary reviews.
Talent management – identification, development and retention of staff, succession and workforce planning. Drive diversity, culture alignment and transformation. Participate in committees such as Transformation, Health and Safety, Employment equity, Skills Development, Wellness, CSR and Human Resources.
Ensure compliance on all government, labour, legal, statutory reporting in terms of Skills Development, Employment Equity, Workmen’s Compensation, Unemployment Insurance Fund, Stats SA, etc.
Ensure compliance with all relevant HR related legislation. Advise and communicate legislation changes.
Create and maintain a comprehensive set of HR policies across the Legal Firm. Learning and development – implement and monitor effectiveness of training programs.
Lead, support and guide on all IR matters (grievances, misconduct, poor performance, operational restructure, retrenchments, etc.).
