One of our clients is looking for a dynamic individual to take up the role of Human Resources /Payroll Officer and become a part of their team!

To efficiently carry out the duties of Salary Administrator and thereby ensuring that The system and operation is efficient to support Company overall business strategies / objectives

Responsible in maintaining and ensuring an efficient, logical and accurate administrative record keeping and filing system. (Both hard copy and electronic)
Provide accurate, timeous and relevant reports and information as required by management

Job Specification

We are looking for the perfectly balanced operational Payroll Officer that is not scared to roll up his/her sleeves and be very involved with the employees. Render support to the HR manager in the implementation, management and co-ordination of all payroll activities, related HR systems
Responsible in maintaining and ensuring an efficient, logical and accurate administrative record keeping and filing system

Job Duties

• Coordinate and management of the entire payroll function
• Manage Company benefit programmes, provident fund contributions, medical aid contributions etc
• Liaise with Human Resources regarding new entries, terminations, remuneration and condition of service
• Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; monitoring pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
• Maintenance of personnel records including archiving and filing
• Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable Human Resource requirements;
• Maintains historical human resource records; keeping past and current records
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Preparation and reconciliation of payment summaries
• Develop, update and maintain payroll references for managers
• Liaising with management and staff regarding salary enquiries
• Calculation, payment and reconciliation of payroll tax and group tax
• Employment Equity and BBBEE administration and reporting
• Administration of all salary related operations such as increases, bonuses, promotions, garnishees, claims etc
• Human resource administration, monthly stats, reporting and operations
• Assist in developing strategy for optimizing the use of LabourNet system, and assist in business case development and advise on the feasibility of potential future projects
• Maintain an awareness of LabourNet standard functionality, best practices, and LabourNet trends and directions
• Recommend implementation strategies that are aligned with the business strategy and are consistent with LabourNet enterprise architecture and strategic direction and computing platform standards
• Responsible for creating and maintaining supporting documentation for LabourNet design and configuration
• Provides consultative services
• Reconciliation
• Ensure compliance to statutory requirements
Minimum Requirements

Matric
Min Completed HR diploma Payroll Administration Certificate or Qualification
Min 5 years’ experience as Payroll Officer at a company with minimum employees of 700
Higher qualification in in Bookkeeping is advantages
Background regarding Project methodologies & approaches
