Job Description:

Open pit electrical reticulation and electrical distribution
Providing electrical field and technical support for the maintenance of 33|6.6 KV breaker skids, trailing, cable and electromechanical mining equipment i.e. Atlas Copco 351 Pit Viper drill & Bucyrus 495HR rope shovel
Reviewing the earthing installation of 10MVA 33/6.6KV Transformer and breaker skids
Project management functions in maintenance planning, scheduling, safety leadership
Operational risk management and carrying out onsite inspections
Monitor and evaluating all the technical operations to ensure compliance with client requirement and local regulation
Carrying out investigations and recommending remedial action for equipment failure and damage
Planning and scheduling of jobs
Commissioning of projects
Upholding to the mining statutes, local regulation and organizational policies

Minimum Requirements:

BEng in Electrical Engineering (Power Engineering)
Firm knowledge of IEC standards and mining in industry specifications and relevant legislation
Proficient in Etap or Power Tools Electrical design software packages
Excellent command of MS Office Suit
5-8 years’ experience as electrical Engineer in Botswana
A valid class B driver’s license.
