SALES / ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – MPUMALANGA

The Account Executive maintains and develops relationships with strategically important customers. Assigned to private and public sector customers, the Account Executive is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives.
The Account Executive will represent all COMPANY’s Lines of Business while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the organisation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for finding new leads, business and opportunities
• Building pipeline by looking for new customer leads, by means of networking, cold calling, introductory emails/meetings, etc. Identifying and converting opportunities into sales
• Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in the assigned customer accounts
• Own the account plan and planning process with BU’s, which will include formulating account budgets aligned to account plans
• Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones
• Compiling tenders and pulling together relevant personal and subcontracting teaming partners when and if required
• Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned region all the while ensuring sales and delivery is professional and effective
• Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
• Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs
• Coordinate point solution sales and to identify, promote and coordinate cross-divisional solution sales
• To be the point of escalation on all key client issues
• Update the CRM system per client
• To access the quality of work being delivered in an account

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES

• Achieves assigned sales quota in designated regional accounts
• Meets assigned expectations for profitability
• Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards
• Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings
• Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12,
• Relevant Diploma or Degree, NQF Level 5 or 6

YOU ARE GOOD AT

• Consultative selling and intensely listening to your customers
• Preparing comprehensive territory plans
• Identifying and converting opportunities into sales
• Skilfully executing each phase of the sales process from pipeline generation to closing the deal
• Masterful client presentations and running effective meetings
• Clearly articulating the value proposition of solutions and products
• Able to work under pressure

WHAT IT TAKES

• You should be a motivated and very driven individual capable of identifying opportunities through analysis of current client base as well as potential new business and market drivers. With a strong understanding of ICT sales, applicants must be able to demonstrate a track record of successful sales.
• Experience of sales to senior level decision makers such as C-level and directors,
• Demonstrable track record of being able to develop and articulate value proposition statements will be a pre-requisite
• A stable career history and the ability to show good tenure at companies is required


EXPERIENCE:
• 3 - 5 years sales, preferably ICT experience and Public Sector experience

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Cellular phone
• Driver's license and Own motor vehicle

The Account Executive will report to the Regional Executive of Mpumalanga.

Remuneration:
• On Target Earnings (OTE – 60/40)
• CTC = R550,000 (60% Basic) + R220,000 (40% On Target Incentives)
