Assist in the development , implement, maintain, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures and associated plans for system security administration and user system access base on industry standards best practices; Assist in the design and implement disaster recovery plan for operating systems ,databases, networks, servers, and software applications; Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsources, and contractors to obtain protection services and products; Provide input into the recommend, schedule, and perform security improvements, upgrades, and or purchases; Participate in the deployment manage and maintain all security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, Intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, and anti- virus software; Assist in the administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions and access rights; Provide a draft/input to the design, perform and or oversee penetration testing of all systems in order to identify system vulnerabilities; Provide a draft/input to the design, implement, and report on security system and end user activity audits.

Certificate or Diploma in Information Technology at an NQF level 5; A National Diploma will be an added advantage; 1-2 years working experience with operating systems (Windows) and network; Knowledge and hands on experience with TCP/IP and other network protocol. Knowledge of firewall architecture and design, network architecture, and monitoring and reporting solutions to proactively identify issues and mitigate risk; Knowledge of information security concepts and methodologies; Knowledge of compliance (PCI DSS, POPI, and so on) and IS standards (ISO 2700), BS 25999, ISO2000, OWASP), and so on.
