Our client is a multi national organisation specialising in the project management of mining, infrastructure and mineral process plant design and construction.

They are currently on the lookout for a talented ICT Sharepoint Specialist who can design, develop and administer SharePoint 2010-2013, Nintex workflows and Forms.

Requirements:

Education

* MCSE 2013 and SharePoint 2013 Microsoft Diploma

Experience

* Minimum 3 years implementation and management of a SharePoint platform in multi-server farm installation.

* Understanding of Business Intelligence, Information Management, Knowledge Management, integration, portals, etc.

* Solid knowledge and experience on Microsoft technology landscape including various server products.

* Capacity Planning.

* Growth Management.

* Intranet / Internet / Extranet Collaboration.

* Intranet Central Search Portal.

* Business Process Management.

* Software testing and training.

* Database administration.

* Licensing.

Prerequisite Skills

* Configuring Office SharePoint Server 2010/2013.

* STSADM.

* SQL Server 2008.

* IIS 6 / 7.

* Windows Server 2008 / 2012

* DNS / WINS (Name resolution).

* TCP / IP.

* Basic Firewall rules and Proxy.

* IT Infrastructure Design.

* Hardware Acquisition.

* Client troubleshooting and Support on Browsers, Office and Windows versions.

* HTML and Client Side Scripting (PowerShell, XHTML, HTML5).

* Exchange and SMTP integration.

* Backup Solutions.

Description of responsibilities

A suitable candidate must be able to successfully achieve the following:

Setup & Management:

* Setup, configure and support of SharePoint / Project Server services on server.

* Setup, configure and support of outgoing and incoming mail services.

* Setup, configure and support of web services.

* Setup, configure and support of search services

* Setup and maintain user profile properties, groups and audience targeting.

* Setup, configure and support security.

* Create web application based on policy driven procedures.

* Create site collections based on policy driven procedures.

Planning & Maintenance:

* Allocate and increase space on web applications, site collections and My Sites.

* Notify business when thresholds are being reached.

* Manage space usage.

* Plan for and install service packs and cumulative updates.

* Manage and perform upgrades to licensing when required.

* Plan and Monitor SQL Server storage requirements.

* Plan hardware and software changes to move, migrate or upgrade the farm.

* Associate databases with web applications.

Maintenance / Other:

* Ongoing maintenance of web front end and indexing servers.

* Maintenance of any features, web parts, templates, solutions or third party installs.

* Monitor network bandwidth issues and escalate to applicable team.

* Assist Helpdesk with SharePoint support calls they are unable to resolve.

* Error identification, investigation and resolution.

* Ongoing research to determine SharePoint best practices for scalability and maintenance.

Backup & Restore:

* Restore sites data as required.

* Plan for backups including media failures, user errors, hardware failures and natural disasters.

* Manage and monitor daily backups.

* Resolve failings on the SQL Server Management Tool.

* Analyse error messages on log files and diagnose the problems.

* Ensure backups have succeeded and not corrupted.

Governance and Change Control:

* Set up and maintain environments for the testing of custom developed solutions.

* Document the procedure for getting custom solutions into the testing environment.

* Document the change control procedure for migrating solutions to LAB and Production.

* Document the procedure for upgrading the farm.

* Communicate all procedures to business.

* Ensure all procedures become part of the Governance Plan.
