Our client in the Software Industry is seeking to employ an Implementation Consultant to join their dynamic company.

What we looking for

  • You need to be super-organised and able to plan and prioritise
  • Lots of projects will run simultaneously and you need to keep on top of things
  • Planning is key to this role and you’ll need to be a born planner to succeed
  • Confidence is a winner, with clients and our team. We need you to convince the company’s clients on the right way to implementation the software and make it sustainable
  • Being firm on scope, timelines and budget is key to a successful implementation, this is a must.
  • We need a great communicator – both verbal and written. The more persuasive the better
  • Like any good relationship, trust is important. Your clients need to trust you with their problems and we need to trust that you’ll sort them out
  • Patience to work with the clients and theirs users to help them get to grips with the software in the beginning is important
  • Of course, if you know anything about the company’s software, that’s a bonus

The bare necessities

  • A diploma or degree (min 3 years) at least a B average in Matric
  • 8 years of work experience, most as a project manager and consultant in the software implementation space
  • Excellent in MS Office
  • Project Management Diploma / Degree / Accreditation an essential
  • Knowing about project and portfolio management software, and having spent time in a PMO or building one would be great

Where you will belong

After the company’s clients have subscribed to the company, the Sales Team hand the client over the Implementation Team (within Delivery) who are then responsible for the successful implementation of the software within the client environment. You’ll be part of this growing team and will thus take the client through planning, implementation and closure and then eventually hand the client over to our Success Management team who will look after the client going forward

Project Management

  • Planning of the implementation aligned to the defined budget and timelines provided
  • Clear definition and documentation of scope and management thereof through the implementation
  • Cost and schedule management to stay on track
  • Schedule and run regular check-point meetings (including, but not limited to)
  • Progress Team Meetings, Steering Committees and Monthly Monitoring Sessions to assess client take-on and challenges
  • Solid stakeholder and communication management both internally and externally during the implementation
  • Good project management execution around issue and risks management

Implementations

  • Analyse client requirements
  • Coach and guide clients in best practice use of the company
  • Provide written and verbal user support to clients and users during implementations
  • Provide training and awareness sessions to users during the implementation
  • Perform product demonstrations to allow all users (including management) to understand what the company can do
  • Manage user satisfaction and expectations
  • Perform system configuration and customisation
  • Liaise with our support and technical team to meet client needs
  • Write and send correspondence and notifications to clients

Grow Existing Accounts

  • Determining the opportunity for subscription growth during the implementation
  • Defining the implementation targets for subscriptions
  • Developing a growth strategy and plan
  • Achieving the identified implementation growth target

Reduce Churn (loss of a client or of subscriptions)

  • Identify the potential for churn and baseline it during the implementations
  • Develop a churn strategy to maintain clients & subscriptions
  • Implement the churn strategy and prevent the client from churning during or shortly after implementations
