My client is seeking an Import Warehouse Assistant
Salary R13500.00 + company benefits
Working hours: Monday - Thursday - 07:15-16:30
Fridays - 07:15-15:30
Saturday/Public holidays - If required

Requirements

* Matric
* Ability to speak Afrikaans an advantage and fluent in English
* Preferably someone studying towards Supply Chain Management of Logistics Management

Duties will include but not limited to:

- Suppliers and shipping documents - continuous basis
- Shipping movements - continuous basis
- Payments of new material
- Container arrivals at warehouse
- Check and mark new stock (Labeling)
- Capture on the system/stock sheets/stock control
- Issue of stock count every second month 2 day
- Ensure that loading trucks for various branches are correct.
- Arranging for crane, generator, air conditioning system, chain saw, gas cylinder etc are in working condition
- Report any breakdowns to Branch manager
- Liaise with shipping agent and transporters who transport our containers to and from the warehouse
- Arrange casual staff when required
- Supervise staff, day and night shift when applicable - on going
- Arrange wood, dirt ( Durban waste) etc to be cleared
