An innovative conceptualiser who enjoys conducting research and devise design proposals for projects in a fast-paced and interactive environment?

Job Vacancy Description (Tasks and Responsibilities)

• Meet with stakeholders to establish design brief (concept, performance and product criteria)
• Work on ideas as part of a team
• Express ideas through drawings, 3D Models and CAD
• Identify the suitability and availability of materials
• Plan and organize a project through several stages
• Use dedicated computer software to produce design specifications, including part lists
• Prepare costing estimates and budgets
• Testing and refining the design concept
• Researching materials, processes or market requirements
• Arrange meetings and liaising with relevant stakeholders to discuss and negotiate appropriate production processes, costs and commercial matters
• Evaluating feasibility of production

We have built up extensive software over the last decade and provide web, mobile, Windows desktop, iOS and cloud applications to clients in various industries. We are ideally looking for applicants with relevant work experience, who have a thorough understanding of Industrial Design processes. The candidate must be able to perform well under pressure.

• High degree of technical knowledge balanced with creative ability and hands-on approach
• Computer literacy including three-dimensional conceptual ability and CAD
• Knowledge and experience on industrial processes, techniques & standards
• Ability to meet deadlines and grasp the urgency of departmental activities
• Ability to work in a high pressure environment
• Ability to multi-task
• The incumbent must have completed a related tertiary qualification
