INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER / ANALYTICS MANAGER (EE)

Market related salary
The successful candidate will possess a balance between:

Experience in Supply Chain strategy development, tactical planning and operational execution
Ability to interpret analysis output and provide thought leadership (what does it mean and what how can it be used to solve real world problems)
Exceptional analytical skills (getting to, understanding the relevance of and compiling data)
Ability to manage and guide a team of Analysts and all that brings with it

Your responsibilities will include:

EXPERIENCE MUST BE FROM PREVIOUS SUPPLY CHAIN DIVISIONS
The guidance and management of a team of capable, talented and inquisitive Analysts focussing on the total Supply Chain from end to end
Thought leadership around data related problems and crafting of solutions
Providing direction to analyst on application of statistical and related techniques to solve problems
Ownership of all analysis required by Supply Chain Development and the wider Supply Chain division
Selection of optimal analytics tools for the Supply Chain division
Provision of high quality analysis outputs to the Supply Chain division
Provision of simulation and scenario planning outcomes for Supply Chain solutions
Bridging gap between problems cases and data, from multiple data inputs and systems
Custodian of master data integrity across Supply Chain systems
On-going alignment with other departments on items such as stock cover and related issues
Management of 3 direct reports currently and potentially additional reports in future

Attributes:

Proven experience in analysis for highly complex problems and environments
Previous experience in ecommerce environments is highly preferred
Previous experience with inventory optimisation and management
Attention to detail with a curious mind
Ability to discern between granularity of analysis and benefit of output
Keen interest in data with the ability to apply in context
Solutions-oriented, can-do attitude; self-motivated; critical thinker
High proficiency with analysis, BI and modelling tools
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Comfortable with change and excellent team player

Qualifications:

Industrial Engineering, B.Comm Quantitative Management, B.Comm Logistics, B. Comm Operations Research or similar degree preferred
High level of proficiency with Analytics tools, Supply Chain modelling and Simulation tools
Competence in SQL or other database software preferred

Experience:

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the Supply Chain industry and / or Analysis of which at least 2 years in a management position
