Salary: R25-30K Basic + Benefits

Purpose of Position:
Complement Recruitment are recruiting for an Industrial Engineer, for a permanent vacancy based in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate should be working in the Automotive environment, with Body Shop experience, Truck industry candidates are advantageous.

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric, Industrial Engineering qualification
• Own Vehicle
• 5s, Lean, Six Sigma etc
• Automotive and or Truck industry experience essential

Duties:
• Analysing / troubleshooting existing processes and projects – various models
• Designing and implementing SOP’s (standard operating procedures) – Production assembly and Body shop
• Ability to determine optimal personnel/manpower requirements;
• Critical analysing of processes with the view to reduce costs;
• Monitoring projects and maintaining all documentation relating to specific projects – Introduction to an Automatic transmission fitment, Wheel fitment machine
• Ensure implementation of 5s standards in all activities associated with scope of work;
• Managing of process flows; time studies; perform work measurements and method studies.
• Drawing up and updating of layouts as and when required;
• Initiate, Implement and maintain overall continuous improvement projects;
• Maintain an accurate standards data base;
• Investigate process related problems and recommend and implement improvements to ensure smooth operations of all processes;
• Responsible for the assembly documents, technical documents, technical regulations and standard operation manual;
• Be proactively involved in technical quality improvements and developments;
• Simplifying and elimination waste (LEAN Principles);
