Top Manufacturing firm seeks Industrial Engineer. Optimise Manufacturing Facility and Production Processes.

What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Manufacturing sector. All duties would take place in this context.
* Optimise manufacturing and assembly process using Lean and Kaizen
* Drive world-class manufacturing initiatives
* Perform process mapping and analysis using time studies
* Use AutoCAD to create layout of current processes
* Perform process "as is" and "what if" analysis
* Analyse the actual cost of the process using standard labour costs, time taken, costs equipment use costs
* Utilise Lean Techniques to optimise the process such as Value Stream Mapping, Automation
* Draw a new improved layout
* Create a business case which indicates "as is" costs and potential cost savings
* Get approval for improvements
* Project manage improvements
* Monitor actual vs anticipated improvements
* Validate business case

* Analyse proudction and materials process using JIT principles
* Eliminate bottlenecks, downtime and wastage
* Introduce Pull
* Optimise quality
* Optimise logistics and supply chain
* Optimise MRP in SAP System

Additional duties could include:

* Continuous improvement and how it works in manufacturing
* Establishing standards and best practices for labour, packaging
* Establishing controls for operations, inventory, costs
* Value stream mapping and Lean
* Manufacturing Process mapping and Optimisation (simplification, speed, safety, efficiency & costs)
* Specifically establish and optimise processes in equipment uptime, materials handling, warehousing and distribution
* Plant layout optimisation (Using AutoCAD)
* Development of production line processes and sequences (In collaboration with internal technical experts)
* Work activity analysis and optimisation (simplification, speed, safety, ergonomics & costs)
* Develop business cases and acquire budgets for new projects
* Kaizen, Continuous Improvement and "right first time"
