Our client a Logistical Solutions provider that makes significant contributions to the supply chains of its customers is seeking an Industrial Engineer for one of their sites in East London for a leading automotive manufacturing supplier.
The primary purpose of this job is to lead a team of Junior Engineers and Technologists which provides support to the operational departments. This includes managing projects to design, implement, stabilize and continuously improve the logistical processes and systems.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a trustworthy relationship with customer and the company

Financial responsibilities:
• Service provider cost management
• Control expenditures within limitations of project budget

• Company Operations, Company Supporting Departments (HR, Control Tower, SHEQ), Company Management

Major external interfaces:
• Customer Contract Management, Customer Logistics Planning, Customer IT Department

Qualification:

BEng Industrial/BSC Industrial Engineering

Required Experience (minimum 3 years relevant experience):
• Project Management in a Warehouse environment
• Warehouse Design
• Manpower calculation
• Facility layout planning
• Process Design
• Equipment planning
• Standard work instructions/Standard operating procedures
• Management of operator training
• Creation and application of KPI's
• Warehouse Management System Master Data
• Inventory management
• Continuous Improvement
• Leading a team of engineers and/or technologists
Beneficial experience:
• Cyclic Logistics
• Production System methods
• SAP Warehouse Management System
• Bottleneck management
• Service Level Agreements

Required skills:
• Above average verbal reasoning ability, Above average numerical reasoning ability, Above average inductive reasoning ability
• Advanced Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel and MS Visio
