Responsibilities

Defined Project Governance
1. Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
2. Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with Senior management and stakeholders.
3. Develop full scale project plans and associated communications documents.

Delivery of key strategic projects
1. Use best practices and methods to estimate resources needed to achieve project goals
2. Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget chenges when necessary
3. Succesfully deliver projects whithin scope. Time and budget while maintaining quality results and to end project documentation.
4. Pro active and engagment and escalation
5. 360 Communication

Professional PMO
1. Set and continually manage projects expectations with learn members and other stakeholders
2. Identify and resolve issues and controls within the projects learn early
3. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
4. Use appropriate tools (MS Projects and others) to plan and schedule projects timelines and milestones
5. Coach, monitor, motivate and supervise project team members
6. Conduct post delivery reviews and manage generated knowledge

PMO Service Excellence
1. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
2. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
3. Where necessary negotiate with other department managers to the acuquisition of required personnel.
4.Track project milistones and delivarables
5. Develop and deliver teimely progress reports, proposals, requirement document and presentations.
6. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crisis and device contingency plan
7. Define project success, criteria and deseminate them to involve parties throughout project lifecycle
8. Consistant project status reporting.
9. End-2-end up to date documentation of project activities
10. Domain adoption of PMO processes.

Project Risk Management
1.Functioning governance structures per each project undertaken
2. Mitigate risk registed for every project
3. Timely escalation of deviations

Project Change Management
1. Managing project changes within governance framework
2.End to end project communication to all stakeholders

Minimum Requirements
1. Relevant IT Related Bachelors Degree (NQF7)
2. Project Management certification (Prince, PMBOK, etc.)

Experience and Knowledge
1. Project management (3 years)
2. Working in the IT Field (5 years)
3. Dealing with a diverse client base
4. Supervise and direct IT personnel

Recommendations
1. Woking experience in the Higher Education sector.
2. ITIL Foundation : Certification
3. Strong MS Project skills
