• Data governance and data quality experience.
• Understanding of technology and information used by the gaming and entertainment industry;
• Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data governance practices
• Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection. Knowledge of data management disciplines.


DataGovernance Specialist will define governance practices as well as contribute to the development of data policies and standards by which business and applications team will manage their data. The primary responsibility will be to promote effective data and information management throughout the group.
• Responsible for the development and rollout of large Gaming/Casino Group's data governance strategy with a focus on data quality improvement and data protection through facilitating relevant modification to organization behaviour policies and standards, principles, processes, related tools and data architecture
• Define and govern an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for development of information-based capabilities
• Assist Business Intelligence Manager in establishing and infusing sound data management principles in the group data strategy
• Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the group’s principal information assets
• Promote the development and use of centralized data models feeding into establishment of enterprise data architecture
• Serve as a liaison between functional areas and technology department to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and included in operational prioritization and planning
• Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the group
• Develop and maintain inventory of the enterprise information maps including authoritative systems and owners
• Perform gap analysis to examine existing processes and technologies and discover loopholes leading to poor data quality and improvement opportunities
• Identify and coordinate external data sources to eliminate redundancy and streamline associated expenses
• Make recommendations to enhance existing data/information management practices and methodologies
