Exciting, challenging opportunity for an EE candidate to join a multi-brand restaurant franchisor!

Manage the Information Systems team consisting of Development and Database Admin.

The role is required to engage with business to understand business requirements for system enhancements and manage demand planning process (including technical changes and Business Intelligence requirements).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
IT Demand Management:
o Own & Drive IT Demand Management process & meetings
o Ensure IT Demand Plan reflects current IT work items (changes requests, business needs)
o Ensure IT Demand Plan reflects & aligns to agreed IT Operating Plan for any IT related requirements/needs
Change Control Management:
o Include Technical Change Control as part of the IT Demand Management process
Vendor Management:
o Engage current IT Vendor account managers on a regular basis to review up & coming work requirements & ways of working
Business Engagement Partner:
o Build and nurture effective relationships with business counterparts including regular & relevant communication
People Management:
o Lead a diverse team of +5 resources to affectively deliver agreed IT Demand items within time and if applicable, on budget.
Specific tasks include:
• Manage team productivity and delivery using Agile principles and methodology best practices.
• Compile job profiles for own reports in line with the HR process.
• Participate in and/or lead panel interviews to ensure the appointment of competent resources
• Define team and individual KPIs and manage these in line with our performance appraisal process
• Coach, mentor and share experience to improve competence and performance of team
• Advocate team collaboration across all IT teams
Analysis:
o Document business & system requirements as identified by the IT Demand Process. This includes business requirements specifications
(BRS), systems requirements specifications (SRS), Use Cases, User Stories.
Legal, Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
o Provide input into systems related Risk Management Strategies and risk mitigation.
o Provide input into IT Governance, Policy Creation / Updates, Management & Monitoring
Systems Management
o Ensure operational sustainability and stability of systems by driving application management and development standards and methodologies
& introducing and driving Release Cycles per system and ensuring business awareness of these release cycles & frequency.
Strategy & Planning:
o Provide input & build the 3-year IT Strategy Plan
o Provide input into the one year operating plan and the priority in line with the IT strategy and relevant business needs.
o Provide resource and budget estimates as input into the IT planning and budget process
Work in a small team of Systems Administrators to maintain all aspects of core infrastructure components including:
o Widows Servers running Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 and 2012 R2 in 5 sites.
o HP Procurve LAN switches in 5 sites.
o ScopServ telephony solutions in 3 sites.
o Other core infrastructure components.
o Responsible for ensuring daily backup jobs are completed.
o Responsible for ensuring anti-virus signatures on the servers are updated and are available to client devices.
o Responsible for documenting technical configuration, processes and procedures as well as maintaining existing documents.
o Provide suggestions to continuously improve processes, procedures or technical implementation of server related infrastructure.
o Co-ordinate and facilitate the implementation of technical projects from time to time.

Experience & Qualifications
o IT Related Diploma / Degree
o 3-5 years in a similar role
o Experience in managing the full Solutions Delivery Life Cycle
o Experience in managing teams & stakeholders
