The IS Operator Internship role provides the perfect opportunity for a young and energetic individual to lay the foundations for a career with the Information Systems space.

This internship will provide the IS operations with support of day to day processes necessary for the transmission of information within the business.

Requirements:

• Matric with an ICT related subject (essential)

• A+ or IDCL (desired)

• Some ICT work would be ideal

• Ability to perform mundane tasks

• Knowledge of SQL would be very useful

The intern will be responsible for:

• Running day to day and cycled operational processes as defined by established procedures

• Monitoring systems, servers and processes

• Recognising and logging system errors / failures in order to timeously escalate for resolution

• Action and monitor relevant database back-ups

• General maintenance and housekeeping of internal systems

• Server performance monitoring
