A national manufacturing company is looking to employ a IS Specialist.

Requirements:

• B.Sc, B.Com, B.Tech or related qualification in IT/IS
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position
• Working knowledge and experience in systems creation and management
• Self-motivated and driven
• Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain various in house systems to improve business efficiencies
• Website development and maintenance
• Improve the imports systems through cost effectiveness, decreasing of errors and improvement in efficiencies
• Oversee import orders from time of order confirmation until costing sent for GRV’s
• Deal with supplier side escalated issues, shipment issues, and local clearing/SARS/custom issues
• Manage relationships with the clearing agents
• Supervise the assistants functions
• Look at or assist with creating efficiencies in business functions
• Program various tools that will help with automated reporting for management
• Supervise and assist in any IT issues that have been escalated
• Act as project manager on various projects in the area
• Conduct Performance Evaluations for all members of team
• Signing of leave and other administrative HR items
• Liaise with HR on any relevant items
