An established company with more than 30 years of success in the industry is looking for an Infrastructure and Node Room Technician who will empower, train and motivate you to deliver excellent customer service through the use of innovative technology and efficient operational systems.

REQUIREMENTS
• CCNA datacenter/ Mikrotik MTCNA / MTCRE
Experience and knowledge:
• 3-5 years relevant experience
• Node room design
• Cabling standards (copper and fibre) and looming
• UPS’s, aircons and access control
• Patch panels
• Testing of ethernet and fibre
• Installation of cabinets, slack racks and other equipment
• Installation of new cabling
• Knowledge of IP networks, routing, switching and firewalls
• Mikrotik would be advantageous
• CCTV would be advantageous
• Knowledge of wireless networks would be advantageous
• General networking knowledge
• Documentation including technical drawings

Specific Requirements
• Own transport / Clear credit record
• No criminal record / Solid and positive references

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
• Node room maintenance
• Node room documentation and visitation schedule
• Design of node rooms and cabinet positions
• Designing of cable entry points, conduits and raceways
• Managing outside party access to node rooms
• Equipment maintenance and replacements
• Installation and management of WIFI access points
• Monitor network outages
• Assisting with all other forms of IT infrastructure
