My client requires the services of a suitably qualified, well motivated and results driven Infrastructure Specialist. This position reports to the Infrastructure Manager

Description

Ensure excellent IT service delivery, through effective management of strategic outsource partners to ensure a stable, reliable, IT infrastructure platform for our client base.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Reliability and stability of infrastructure services
• Ensuring infrastructure designs meet best practice
• ICT technical vendor management
• KPI monitoring
• Sustainable continuous improvement
• Implementation and enforcement of governance policies and principles, and compliance monitoring thereafter
• Management of change
• Drive compliance with security best practice and company’s security roadmap

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE / COMPETENCIES
• Technically strong, to challenge and contribute to infrastructure design
• Technical knowledge and demonstrable skills in the following technologies: Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, Citrix,
• Strong vendor management experience
• Exceptional knowledge, both practical and theoretical, of IT Infrastructure and architecture
• Service delivery focus
• Cyber security trends, technology solutions and overall awareness
• IT Industry knowledge and a passion for understanding new developments and changes in the IT sector
• Exceptional strength in structured logical analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills to both technical and non-technical users.
• Strong crisis management
• Critical focus on continuous improvement

Qualification and Skill
• Relevant tertiary qualification is mandatory as well as ITIL/COBIT training with Cisco and Microsoft Server certification a distinct advantage
• Minimum 8 year's working experience in an IT environment
• Minimum 3 years exposure to IT infrastructure and vendor management, focused in particular on vendor integration management in a multi-
vendor environment.
