Key Areas Of Responsibility

• Setup moulds/tools on injection and blow moulding machines
• Perform mould change overs
• Optimise mould/tool on injection and blow moulding machines
• Setup Robots
• Correction of deviations from standard operating conditions (machine settings and process cycle times)
• Operate Overhead Gantry Crane
• Monitor product cycle times
• Monitor machine performance
• Monitor product quality
• Report deviations from standard operating conditions to Shift Supervisor
• Comprehensive handover inclusive of relevant reports to incoming setter
• Completion of job cards for all breakdowns and mould maintenance
• Conduct process fault finding to optimize the process and achieve the planned cycle times
• Maximize Operational Equipment Efficiencies in order to ensure that OEE targets are achieved
• Maintain equipment to the required standard
• Manage time and work process
• Coach, train and motivation of others to enhance team performance
• Ensure safe practice and procedures relating to efficient tool change overs and operations into injection and blow moulding machines are
adhered to.
• Ensure legislative training is up to date

Qualification and Experience

• 5 – 7 years’ experience in a technical capacity within the plastics environment
• Recognised and/or related tertiary qualification – preferably Plastic Processing certification
• Injection, Blow and Roto moulding knowledge and technical working experience
• Technical working experience with In Mould Labelling, Robot and Jigs machine setups
• Working knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics
• Working knowledge of compressors, chillers and cooling towers
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
• Advanced computer training qualification (essential)
• Management qualification (advantageous)
• Supply chain management qualification (advantageous
