INSTALLATIONS MANAGER: FIBER OPTIC
KWAZULU NATAL
What will you be responsible for?
Lead the team assigned consisting of daily task coordinators, fiber technicians and customer interfaces + ownership of Order and customer relations from date of booking + Manage and lead team members to achieve customer service excellence and meet company goals and targets
What will you be doing on a day to day basis:
Ensure IM procedures are aligned with other POD and Client departments and kept updated & current
Continuous improvement of IM Department methods and procedures
Training and development of all Installations Coordinators, Installs Technicians & Fiber Technicians
Setting targets for IC's aligned with overall Client and Installation Targets
Liaise & align with implementation and MDU teams on the new areas to engage
Liaise with Scheduling team as is required to ensure alignment
Ensure good cooperative communication with all Client departments
Ensure Quick Base is updated daily to keep records of all work up to date
Manage and update Quick Base as needed
Data capturing for incorrect data needs to be updated immediately
Ensure all communication is sent and discussed with customer
Identify and mitigate all risks before actual install date
Upstream communication on lack of quality on network
Train and enforce communication templates with customer
Plan circuit provisioning up front and identify all risks
Compile, maintain & enforce Standard Operating Procedures
Performance and evaluation: monitor all teams progress, skills, knowledge, workmanship, attitude, commitment and appearance and give quarterly feedback
Quality control: Responsible for quality workmanship. Fault repairing due to poor quality workmanship
Loss control: time and materials must be carefully monitored
Contractor Management: Quality, performance and complaints need to be monitored and evaluated
Ensure that all employees wear appropriate Client clothing and PPE to ensure the brand is well represented
Provide meaningful reporting to Senior Management and clients in a timely and effective manner
Effective crisis management and resolution
Effective resource planning
Minimum requirements and experience:
Matric
Valid Driver’s License
Systematic approach in deliverables
Background in data management is advantageous
A technical knowledge of fiber
NMS knowledge is advantageous
Team management experience
Office skills essential
Contractor management
A strong client relations background
Creative problem solving, ability to think on your feet
