• 5 YEARS EXP IN SUGAR INDUSTRY
• KNOWLEDG OF YOGAWA, HONEYWELL, AMRI, FISHER & VEGA FIELD EQUIPMENT
• ANALYSING SYSTEM COMPONENTS AND DEFINING SYSTEM STRUCTURES & INPUTS
• IMPLEMENTING AND MAINTAINING ISO 9002
• MAITAINING THE RELIABILITY OF INSTRUMENTS VIA PLANNED MAINTENANCE
• MIS, CAMS, ASM AND REPORT DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE

A vacancy has arisen in the Instrument Department for a qualified Instrument/System Technician who will have the responsibility of maintaining and optimizing plant operations and process control systems in order to maximize plant availability.
COMPETENCIES

Specific knowledge of DCS Control Systems (preferably Yokogawa Centum VP), software engineering, graphic development, hardware configuration, networking, diagnostics & fault finding.

MIS, CAMS, ASM and Report development experience would be an added advantage;

Knowledge of Yokogawa, Honeywell, Amri, Fisher & Vega field equipment;

At least 5 years previous experience as a Technician, preferably in the Sugar industry.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the incumbent will be required to work with minimum supervision. Duties will include:

Maintaining the reliability of instruments via planned maintenance;

Planning, installing, commissioning and maintaining instrumentation control loops;

Reporting major defects and calibration changes to the Technical Manager;

Implementing Projects,

Implementing and maintaining ISO 9002

Deputizing for the Instrument Foreman from time to time
