Required Qualifications: Trade Test Certificate In Industrial Instruments. + Min N2 NTC
Main Purpose of Job
• Instrument Maintenance
• Instrument Fault Analysis.
• Instrument Loop Checks
• Planned Maintenance
• Callout and Breakdowns
• Checkilist; BUT; CI and Spare Parts
• Minor projects and safety and Housekeeping.
• Maintain Instrument Manuals; Drawings and Panels
• Fault finding on various electrical machinery on running processes.
• Analysing and investigating on re-current electrical faults.
• Proactive and shows initiative to continouosly improve equipment performance.
• PLC panel wiring and faultfinding.
• Complete necessary job cards and motor checklist.
• Repairs must be carried quickly and efficiently.
• Basic PLC programming.
Skills:
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Computer literate ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical & problem solving skills. Attention to detail.
• Basic PLC programming

Duties:
o Carries out planned maintenance in allocated sections as instructed by Team Leader.
o Report all defects found and propose a remedial action.
o Utilise trade skills in a professional manner, working cleanly, precisely and ensuring others that work with him/her does the same.
o Complete and sign the job cards and work sheets after completion of each work.
o Complete the defect list and or check list as instructed by Team Leader.
o Make sure that all instruments are calibrated and an instrument record card and instrument calibration sheet is filled in properly and done according to the calibration manuals.
o Make sure that all tags related to a particular instrument are displayed clearly and instruments are cleaned and spray- painted after calibration.

o Attend to breakdowns when work orders are given by production Team Leader and or Instrument Team Leader.
o Repairs and or fault analysis must be carried quickly and efficiently. Where fault- finding takes more than 20 minutes, a senior member should be notified immediately without delay.
o When two or more breakdowns occur simultaneously, he/she must consult with the production team leader as to the priority and time estimations for repairs. Focus must be on minimum downtime on the whole plant.
o After completion of the repairs, he/she has to ensure correct functioning of the machines and has to communicate with the operating personnel for start-up and make sure that the production team leader signs and agree on the time spent on the job.
o He/she is proactive and prevent breakdowns
