Our client is currently seeking a business development officer for their marketing division in commercial/business short-term insurance.

An exciting and challenging career opportunity is currently available in the Marketing division. The Business Development Officer assists the organisation in achieving business goals. The Business Development Officer contributes to the organisational goals by generating high quality leads for Business Insurance and Value Added Products.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Business Development Officer contributes to the organisational goals by generating high quality leads for Business Insurance and Value Added Products.To effectively build and maintain relationships with prospects.

•To generate high quality contacts from prospective clients on a daily basis.

•To assess marketing opportunities to contribute to the growth of Business Insurance within the Commercial dealership and other.

•To gather information on prospects requirements for product enhancement

•To effectively build and manage relationships with management and the call center

•To effectively promote and advocate the brand to prospective clients in order to convert new contacts to leads

•Understanding customer needs and consistently meeting customer expectations

•To ensure up-to-date industry and market knowledge, as well as internal products, processes etc.

•Deliver on Treating Customers Fairly principles in alignment with regulatory requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements

Essential:

•Grade 12 (Standard 10)

•FAIS accreditation (60 credits)

•Diploma/degree in Marketing

RE
Essential :

•3 - 5 years marketing/sales experience in related industries (banking / financial / insurance / business services / industry specific experience according to business needs).Desirable:

•Some relevant experience in commercial insurance.

• Valid SA Drivers License

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: R10,000.00 /month + commission
