Positive Planet International seeks to engage an intern

Positive Planet International

Positive Planet International (PPI) supports men and women around the world to create a better world for future generations. PPI evolved out of Planet Finance, created 20 years ago, and forms part of the Positive Planet group. PPI has been developing and implementing programmes and projects since 1998 to allow vulnerable populations to create income-generating activities that will assure the future of their children without depending on charity. Over the past two decades, PPI has worked to prevent the emergence and persistence of precarious situations in less advanced countries, developing the economic resilience of fragile populations by simultaneously activating three essential levers: financial inclusion, entrepreneurship and greater access to markets. This holistic approach allows beneficiaries to reach self-sufficiency and socio-economic resilience, in particular in our zones of expertise, Africa and the Middle-East.

Positive Planet International in Southern and East Africa (PPSA)

PPI’s Southern and East Africa Regional office is based in Johannesburg, in South Africa, managing projects in many English speaking countries in the region, such as South Africa, Zambia, Uganda, Tanzania and Lesotho.

PPI started its operations in South Africa in 2008 in Cape Town with a three-year EU funded project and throughout the past decade has worked on different projects primarily with a focus on development finance.
