PURPOSE OF JOB
Responsible for the creation and implementation of a group wide internal audit function

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish detailed group wide internal audit program to measure the effectiveness of internal control processes.
• Present business units with findings and make recommendations for improvements
• Prepare Internal Audit Reports to be distributed to business units and CEO
• Present scope of work and key areas of weaknesses identified to Audit Committee
• Structure internal audit program so as to add value to External Audit program
• Develop and publish Internal Controls Policy Document
• Ad-hoc investigations as requested by Chief Executive Officer and Group Internal Audit Manager
• Audit business dealings to ensure compliance with all legal regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• B Com / B Compt Degree majoring in audit and / or accounting
• Completed articles, preferably with one of Big 5 audit firms, or at least five years internal audit experience
• Well developed knowledge of the principles of auditing principles
• Key knowledge of IFRS / GAAP

SKILLS
• Highly Computer Literate (especially Microsoft Office products)
• Highly self motivated
• Strong administrator, organised
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
