Well known retail products manufacturer has an opportunity for an Internal Sales / Merchandiser just outside Pretoria-East area

Salary =R12 000.00 per month + Commission (R3 000.00 when target is met for local products and R3 000.00 when target is met on imported products and overperformance commission that is discussed quarterly + yearly performance based bonus)

Minimum requirements:
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
• Matric
• 2+ years working experience as an Internal Sales Consultant / Merchandiser within the retail industry
• Customer service orientated person who is a go-getter
• Creative thinker
• Outgoing personality
• Working hours: Monday-Thursdays (7:30 – 17:00), Fridays (7:30 – 15:00) – 1 Saturday in +-8 weeks
• Excellent telephone etiquette
• Well-groomed and professional person (face of Company)
Duties will include:
• Assisting customers in retail sales area, greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs
• Adhere and perform according to monthly sales budget
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions
• Total purchases and receive and process cash or credit payment
• Maintain records related to sales
• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise
• Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers
• Arrange and display merchandise to promote sales (manage displays - winter vs summer etc.)
• Inventory stock, requisition new stock, arranging production on local manufactured products
• Maintenance of the retail sales area
• Stock control in designated sales area as well as back-up area
• Internal online sales, administration, logistics
• Ensure that you are familiar with all the policies and procedures related to your work and that you abide by them
• Do quotations and follow-up on quotations given
• Communicate directly with private clients, buyers, contractors etc.
• Adhoc duties given by manager or another manager with relevant authority
