REQUIREMENTS

Matric plus 2 year’s experience in Shipping environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. A good command of the English language is essential
Computer literate in Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, Internet and PowerPoint
A working knowledge of Linersuite, GAPP and Navis would be an advantage
Display commercial awareness
Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision and work after hours if necessary
Work as a team member, supporting colleagues. A strong link in the chain
A high degree of accuracy required
Well organized and self-disciplined
Committed to and complies with Company ethics
Drivers License would be an advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend to internal sales functions such as quotes, queries, tele-canvassing and general customer service professionally and efficiently
• Distribute weekly sailing schedule to entire customer base
• Maintain pro-active and effective communication with internal divisions
• Maintain excellent relationships with customers
• Support the Sales Representative by assisting with weekly customer booking forecasts
• Compile opposition information for Principal and Manager
