To assist in achieving sales targets through the efficient and accurate processing of all sales orders and the provision of excellent customer service to the sales team and external customers. It is essential for the incumbent to have sales experience within the building/plumbing industry.

You are reliable and honest, have the ability to work under pressure and are competent in MS Office and SAP. Being professional, friendly, polite and helpful to customers, is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Customer Service and Sales
o Process orders speedily and accurately
o Establish customer needs clearly
o Offer product knowledge and solutions to meet customer needs
o Provide customers with accurate and up to date pricing and stock availability
o Ongoing open communication with clients regarding orders in progress
o Assist customers to the best of your ability before escalating the call
o Keep in contact with customers regarding back orders to keep them informed as to progress
o Advise customers of promotions
o Maintain up to date knowledge of products
• Administrative duties and reporting
o Receive order via phone, fax or Reps
o Process orders speedily and accurately on SAP immediately on receipt
o File order correctly once processed
o Follow up on customer queries
o Ensure price and product description is correct on the sales order
o Operate within authority limits or escalate to Rep or Sales Manager where necessary

o Deal with colleagues, customers, suppliers and management respectfully.
o Assist colleagues wherever possible in line with the company principle of job flexibility.
o Adherence to health and safety rules and requirements.
o Adherence to all company rules and required standards.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Matric essential
• Own reliable transport plus valid drivers’ license essential
• 2 Years+ sales experience within the building/plumbing industry
