Our client is looking to employ an Internal Sales Representative

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Degree or Diploma in Sales/Engineering/Business

Experience:

  • 2 years experience in Sales, Engineeering, oilfield

Skills, Training or special knowledge:

  • Computer literate 
  • Strong administrative skills
  • confident and a good communicator 
  • Service orientated, quick learner, commited and dedicated, positive and enthusiastic.
  • Team player 
  • Some exposure to a manufacturer / engineering environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Constant customer interaction, primarily by means of telephone calls and emails is a core function
  • Field and respond to customer enquiries efficiently and diligently to ensure that clients receive the highest level of customer service.
  • Maintain open and regular communication with clientsto ascertain business needs, identify opportunities and ensure satisfaction 
  • Communicate potential opportunities and requirements to Sales management for investigation and follow-up
  • Provide regular feedback to management regarding clients future strategies and activity in the market
  • Prepare quotations by means of ascertaining the clients technical requirements and timelin, accurately detail and cost the scope of supply to ensure detailed, accurate and professional quotations, that meet the customers needs and conform to the companies commercial policies
  • Liaise with internal Sales, Operations, Logistics and Legal team members to ensure a technically and commercially correct response to the client
  • Verifiy with clients taht quotations meet their requirements, and follow up regularly, to ensure that the company is in the best possible position to win any potential businsess
  • On receipt of a Purchase Order, conduct contract review to ensure that all technical and commercial details are in line with the quotation and relevant specifications
  • Highlight and notify associated departments of their required input to the order, drawing attention to any specific or non-standard commercial or technical requirements
  • Regularly follow up with clients, and internally, to ensure customer satisfaction and that the job is progressing as planned
  • Tenders:
    • Assist with the prepartion and compiling of Commercial and Technical tender submissions.
    • In strict accorrdance with specific tender requirements
  • Well-developed written, numeric and communication skills are required for the above
  • Must be willing to learn - a strong product knowledge of the Tuboscope business line is essential
  • Some technical/engineering knowledge is an advantage
  • Computer Literate:
    • Word, Excel, PowerPoint - all is essential
  • High ethical and moral standards, a good work ethic, dedication and communitment to your work, with an emphasis on accuracy and completeness, and a strong sense of team spirit will ensure a good fit in the company culture
