Our client in Paarl is looking for an International Sales Manager to join their dynamic and fast growing team:

Experience needed:

Beverage experience is not critical but advantageous
Previous sales experience is a prerequisite (international experience a bonus)
Excellent numeracy skills (in order to work with multiple currency pricing globally and also work with logistics and freighting)
Strong on line and social media skills

Personality and culture fit:

High energy can do person
Flexible and engaging with customers but tough when needs to be (on key brand and company issues)
Comfortable hosting international customers
Comfortable and respectful of working with different cultures
Comfortable doing business over the phone, email and skype (no personal face to face interactions)
Willing to travel internationally
Interest in food / gourmet and health would be beneficial
Reliable
Accountable
Detailed and strong in administrative tasks (following up with enquiries, filling in trade show grant forms, etc)
Independent and self sufficient
Entrepreneurial in their ability to roll up their sleeves and do what needs to be done!
A “make a plan” approach to driving sales
Interested and motivated to see the brand succeed in the market place.

Key Outputs:

Identify trade shows, secure funding etc and attend key trade shows to actively promote the brand to secure new customers and to support existing customers. Attend customer trade shows and attend strategic trade shows on our own.

Work closely with the existing food service and retail distribution partners to achieve the sales plan and targets through:

o addressing key challenges they face with the brand
o developing new solutions (sales tools, beverages, new products)
o learning from them what the trade are looking for
o cross pollination across local and overseas markets
o work closely with SA national manager and leveraging off SA market experiences and market tests

Relationship building with the sales teams and customers including:

o providing on-line training and training tools
o develop and provide sales and marketing tools
o ensuring all customers understand how to make and sell our product range

Deliver annual sales plans and targets to the Managing Director

Sales budget management

Interface between customer and marketing, production/logistics and finance.

Pricing strategy

Sales process – improve, refine, ensure scalability

Responsible for sales process and interface between production and finance. Ensure closed loop in terms of service from these departments

Maximizing existing customer base

Launch new products to existing customer base

Input into on-line strategy and sales tools
