My client, a leading retailer is on the hunt for an Inventory Accountant. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of distribution and supply chain.



Qualification:

BCom Accounting or equivalent

Studying towards CIMA advantageous



Skills & Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Management experience essential

Must ideally have retail or FMCG experience



Job Description:

Oversight function on stock recons.

Report on shrinkage, percentages to Operations.

Monthly reporting to management accountants on inventory related statistics.

Balance inventory and general ledger.

Trend and risk analysis.

Provide for obsolete stock and write-off at year end.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting on insurance declarations.

Authorize, approve and release EFTs.
